Hello Diane,                                       5                                                      May 3,1988

I hope this letter finds you well, and as far as your brother Mark, I have discovered that all his things are being kept by the manager who doesn’t have the heart to throw them away, even though they are taking much space in his own apartment.  I offered to take some of the stuff, just to alleviate his burden.

I have contacted various hospitals in the area that might have his name on file as being a patient, however, nothing has turned up.  I will also look at various police stations and jails, just to make sure no stone is left unturned; but I doubt he will be in one of those places.

I hope to have good news for you soon.

Sincerely, Simon.
